Christ Church partners with One Collective. Formerly ITeams, the new name refl ects their mission: “We bring people together to help the oppressed.”
This is the opportunity before Christ Church as we help them establish a church for the Afghan refugees. Fleeing continuous cycles of violence and destitution, they are smuggled in as cheap labor. Without legal status, employment rights, basic healthcare or education, Afghans are the bottom rung of the migrant hierarchy and very transient. There is no Afghan church there.
We hope to fund programs that work with these refugees- Moms & Tots, VBS, Discovery Bible studies and a tea house ministry. This will be a ministry of mercy and compassion, where Afghans can hear the Gospel in their language, probably for the first time, and possibly meet Jesus
