TO HELP PEOPLE DISCOVER LIFE WITH GOD
To fuel a movement that Reaches People and Renews Communities
“Several years ago, as we approached retirement, we began to evaluate our life. What could we do in terms of changing our lifestyle to impact the Kingdom? We felt that God was calling us to downsize homes. This would allow us to give more, to go on more mission trips, to grow in our faith. And finally, would allow us to grandparent more. It was really a lifting of a burden. The more you start getting rid of all this stuff you’ve accumulated, the more you feel freer and have more time to invest in God’s Kingdom.”
“Compass is a ministry of Christ Church that helps 8th graders understand more about who they are and the Christian life. There is a saying ‘It takes a village to raise a child.’ These middle schoolers are the future generation. They are going to be leaders and they are going to challenge each other, as well as the world, in their faith. Christ Church has become my village and has planted in me the seeds of compassion. I love helping and challenging others to grow in their faith. I want to be part of the village that helps teens live out their faith.”
“When the Justice Center was announced, there was something in me that said “you need to do this.” The Justice Center at Christ Church assists people who are having legal problems and may not be able to afford an attorney. We also try to help people with financial issues. We see people leave happy with burdens lifted off of their shoulders. I feel like we are helping to relieve these issues in people’s lives so that they can focus in their spiritual lives. God is teaching me through serving at the Justice Center how He works in other people’s lives and it helps me to see how He is working in my life.”
