Since its inception, Christ Church has served as a place where Trinity Evangelical Divinity School students have interned in order to complete their Master of Divinity requirements. The REACH initiative has given us an opportunity to improve upon that through our leadership development initiative. The vision of this new internship program is to develop a more formal training program that identifies top students and provide structure for a robust experience. As part of our REACH initiative, Jonathan Neef has joined our staff as campus pastor for our fourth site. Jonathan interned at Christ Church while working on his MDIV at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2016. Jonathan and his wife, Hanna, have a daughter named Claire, a son due in March, and a golden retriever. Jonathan is passionate about helping people discover life with God by caring for people and communicating the love of God. In January, Over 800 churches joined together in a city-wide outreach called ExploreGod. Each week engaging speakers came in to help us answer these questions and groups formed weekly to continue the discussion. Many people took the initiative to invite people to church, to put signs in their yard or a magnet on their car. As a result over 100 people got involved in weekly discussion groups at each campus. Over 150 visitors came through our doors to explore God. We’ve heard stories of people coming back to church, marriages being strengthened and more….
